How to get AKC Registration with a NAVHDA Registered Domestic dog?

I have a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon that is registered with NAVHDA, merely IS Non registered with AKC.

Question #ane. Can I get my domestic dog registered with AKC (if so, how?)?

Question #2. How would I get most running AKC Gun Dog Trials without an AKC registration?

Question #iii. If my domestic dog sired a litter of puppies, would I be able to register the litter without having the sire (my dog) registered with AKC?

1: Are one or both parents AKC registered with ALL grandparents AKC registered? If not I doubt it.

2: You lot can get an ILP number from AKC then that y'all tin can run in tests/trials, BUT in lodge to do so y'all have to have the dog spayed/neutered.

Cheque with your breed lodge, some of the newer breeds maintain an "open" registry for awhile with AKC. I'm not familiar with WPG history; past new I hateful recently accepted as an AKC breed. If this is not the case for WPG then you lot would only be able to compete in AKC performance events by obtaining an ILP number from the AKC, and the dog must be neutered to get information technology.

If your domestic dog is ineligible for AKC registry then none of his pups would exist either.

The WPG club split some fourth dimension ago, over the infusion of Cesky Fousek blood into the brood. One of the clubs has got "American" at the front of its name, the other has "America" at the terminate--and this society has no AKC affiliation. I suspect it's this ane that your canis familiaris comes out of. NAHVDA volition register WPGCA lines, but not the AKC; it'south analogous to the GWP-Deutsch Drahthaar situation. (And DD handlers have very practiced reason to shy away from the AKC in maintaining a truly working gundog.)

If you want to compete in AKC hunt tests, an ILP number is probable the only mode. But you also should be aware that AKC pointing tests, fifty-fifty at master level, are similar asking Rembrandt to paint by numbers--NAVHDA is a better venue by far for the versatile breeds. (Now you lot also asked about running a WPG in AKC trials--rather than an ILP number, putting a rocket pack on your pooch would be the best outfitting... )

Why would you lot wanna run AKC when you can run NAVHDA? AKC is a joke A NAVHDA UT domestic dog to me is way more impressive than an AKC MH anyhow! A UT dog is a fine example of a working Gundog handsdown! Anything in a MH level chase exam is only half of a NAVHDA UT test minus the backing. Go with the NAVHDA format
